Fun Filled Weekend!!

We had a  great weekend!  We spent it with fun friends from work!  I'm so thankful to work with such wonderful friends!  We started off the weekend with a Kentucky Derby party at our Secretary's house!  She has a pool so the girls were in heaven!

Morgan and Kennedy had to do a little posing before hand!  I think it's just hilarious when Kennedy watches Morgan and copies her!  You HAVE to read the story about Morgan at the end of this post!!!

Sunday, Jason prepared for our defensive players to come over for an end of the year cookout so the girls and I spent the afternoon at my co-counselor's house swimming and laying out!  Her hubby blew up their water slide for the girls!  I finally got a tan!!

Peyton (Kristal's 2 month old baby) slept most of the time!

Morgan is such a mess y'all!  I don't know what we are going to do with her.  Kristal and Justin were cooking out for us and another couple we work with but we had to leave to go have our own cook out with our players.  Once our players got to our house, Morgan was the life of the party... the hostess with the mostess!!
Here's how the party went after they arrived:
1. Morgan brought them all drinks.
2.  Morgan brought them all chips but told them, "You have to wait until dinner to eat them."
3. Morgan went around the table asking them what their favorite singer, song, cartoon, etc. was.  Later when I asked her why she had to be the "center of attention" all the time, she told me very directly, "Well, Mom I didn't want them to get bored!!"  Duh!!!!!
4.  She asked them to sing a song for 1 minute!!!!
And if they didn't, she told them she WOULD NOT go to the next person until they did!!  Oh' my!!!!!!
5.  Then they told her she had to sing a song and SHE DID!
6. She got right up on the back porch like she owned the place and belted out "You belong with me" by Taylor Swift and "Never Say Never" by Justin Bieber.... eyes closed, dancing and all!

Nope, I'm not exaggerating at all!  And if they weren't watching, she got onto them!  They were all laughing!!!!

Then she got her softball glove out and asked who wanted to play with her... within 2 seconds, she had a taker!  I have a feeling, she may be a CEO of some company one of these days... I don't know where she gets this personality.  I was shy as can be when I was little and Jason is pretty reserved himself!   We may be in TROUBLE!  Can y'all pray for us! :)  Everyone who knows us really well, knows she is also VERY strong willed and can give us a run for our money too, so they know I'm not joking when I ask for prayers, but she is precious and last night made me realize she is her own  personality and it is quite a BIG one!!!!!

Hilarious, but I don't know where she gets that either. I would have never done that and still won't till this day. Wish I could have been a fly on the wall to watch. Guess little ole Kennedy was just standing back all shy watching. Atleast she probably won't be ran over all her life. Good luck the next twelve years. Ha!!!!!

Glad you all had a great weekend.

Oh how I would have loved to have seen Miss Mo in action yesterday.

I must say that Jason was pretty reserved although he never minded interacting with people regardless of who they were or their age. However.......he loved to sing and when he was ready to perform he went to his own zone and sang out his heart.....and he could perform it all...C&W....Willie, Waylon and Glenn Campbell were some of his favs, and he could perform gospel along with the Eagles....he actually performed at a packed restaurant here in Odessa when he was 3 years old and he got a standing ovation. I truly believe to this day he is a "closet rocker"....

Since Morgan was 2 years old and singing "Blue Suede Shoes" and don't you step on my "blue sweaty shoes" she might have come by her love of singing honestly....

Doesn't she just make our day? and I have seen Kennedy sing just also. Soon we may be seeing and hearing duets from these girls!

XXOOXXXOO!!!
